A. There are several reasons to purchase a custom built computer:

A computer built uniquely for you. Brand name computers only offer a limited selection of options or upgrades.

No extra software installed. Most brand name computers have a lot of unnecessary software installed.

Q. Why do custom built computers cost more than a brand name computer?

A. Brand name computers are paid to install extra software. While this offsets the cost of a computer, this software is often a limited version or trialware.

Q. Would you only recommend a custom built computer?

A. Our policy is to do what is best for the customer. If a brand name computer meets your needs, we will recommend it.

Q. Should I buy an extended warranty?

A. Research often says no. I usually will recommend an extended warranty to college students who live in a dorm.

Q. How long is the warranty on Quakertown Computers custom computers?

A. Our standard warranty is 1 year. We do offer 2 and 3 year warranties.

Q. How do I protect myself from virus, hackers, spyware

A. You would need a firewall that also includes antivirus and spyware protection. There are several software manufacturers that offer this protection.

Q. I have more than one computer does each one need protection?

A. Yes. Every computer needs antivirus, even those not connected to the internet. Many antivirus manufacturers now offer a 3 or 5 license pack.
